About the Author

Rabindranath Tagore, the renowned Bengali polymath and Nobel laureate, was born in 1861 in Calcutta, India, into a prominent family that nurtured his early literary talents. A versatile genius, he excelled as a poet, philosopher, musician, and educator, founding the Visva-Bharati University to promote holistic learning. Tagore's works profoundly influenced modern Indian literature and global humanism, earning him the 1913 Nobel Prize in Literature for his poetic collection Gitanjali.
