Warren H. Carroll (1932–2011) was a distinguished historian, educator, and devout Catholic scholar whose life's work illuminated the pivotal role of Christianity in shaping Western civilization. A graduate of Bates College and Columbia University, he earned his Ph.D. in history from Columbia, where he later taught before dedicating himself to founding Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia, in 1977, serving as its president until 2002.
