About the Author

Marie-Louise von Franz, a renowned Swiss psychologist and close collaborator of Carl Gustav Jung, dedicated her life to exploring the depths of the human psyche through the lens of analytical psychology. Alongside James Hillman, an influential American psychologist and founder of archetypal psychology, they delved into the intricacies of personality and the collective unconscious. Von Franz's work, often presented in insightful lectures, bridges Jungian theory with practical typology, offering profound insights into how archetypes shape individual and cultural narratives. Together, their contributions have enriched the field of depth psychology, inspiring generations to confront the shadows within and embrace the transformative power of myth and symbol in everyday life.
