About the Author

Vercell Baylor is a celebrated children's author whose whimsical tales have enchanted young readers and parents alike for over two decades. Born in the rolling hills of rural Tennessee, Baylor drew inspiration from his own childhood adventures and the quirky characters that populated his small-town upbringing. With a keen eye for the absurdities of everyday life, he crafts stories that blend humor, heart, and subtle life lessons, encouraging children to embrace their uniqueness. His debut picture book, 'Haircut? No Thank You!', became an instant favorite, resonating with kids who dread the barber's chair while teaching the value of self-expression. When not writing, he enjoys gardening, storytelling workshops, and spending time with his grandchildren, who serve as his most honest critics.
