Taha Hussein (1889-1973) was a pioneering Egyptian intellectual, scholar, and writer whose life and work profoundly shaped modern Arabic literature and thought. Blinded in childhood by disease, he overcame immense personal challenges to become one of the Arab world's most influential figures, earning the title 'Dean of Arabic Literature.'
