About the Author

Steve Mastroianni is a passionate guitar educator and musician dedicated to making music accessible to beginners and enthusiasts alike. With years of experience teaching guitar in various settings, from private lessons to online workshops, he has helped countless students overcome common hurdles in learning the instrument. Frustrated by traditional methods that emphasize rote practice over enjoyment, Mastroianni developed an innovative approach that prioritizes playing real songs right from the start. In his acclaimed book, 'PRACTICE LESS, PLAY MORE: The simple, three-step system to play songs you love on your guitar from day 1,' he outlines a streamlined system designed to build confidence and skills quickly, allowing learners to focus on the joy of music rather than endless drills. Beyond writing, Mastroianni performs locally and continues to inspire through his blog and video tutorials, believing that true mastery comes from consistent, fun practice.
