Sri Krishna Prem
About the Author
Sri Krishna Prem, born Ronald Henry Nixon in 1897 in England, was a profound spiritual seeker whose life took a transformative turn when he journeyed to India in 1918, eventually renouncing his Western roots to embrace the ancient wisdom of the East. Initiated into the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition under the guidance of his guru, Sri Yashoda Ma, he adopted the name Krishna Prem and dedicated his life to the practice and dissemination of Bhakti yoga and Vedantic philosophy. Settling in Almora, Uttarakhand, he co-founded an ashram that became a haven for spiritual aspirants, where he wrote extensively on mysticism, the nature of the self, and the unity of religions. His teachings, infused with poetic insight and scholarly depth, bridged Eastern spirituality with universal truths, influencing generations of seekers. Prem's works, such as 'Man, the Measure of All Things: In the Stanzas of Dzyan,' explore esoteric interpretations of ancient texts, revealing the divine measure within humanity. He passed away in 1980, leaving a legacy of selfless devotion and enlightened writings that continue to inspire spiritual exploration.
