About the Author

Joseph Heath is a distinguished Canadian philosopher and professor at the University of Toronto, where he explores the intersections of ethics, economics, and social theory. Renowned for his incisive critiques of contemporary ideologies, Heath draws on Enlightenment principles to address modern challenges in politics, economics, and everyday life. In his acclaimed work 'Enlightenment 2.0 [New Edition]: To Restore Sanity to Politics, Economics, and Daily Life,' he argues for a rational revival of progressive thought against the rise of reactionary populism and irrationalism. With a background in analytic philosophy, Heath's writings blend rigorous argumentation with accessible prose, making complex ideas approachable for a broad audience. His contributions continue to influence debates on liberalism, capitalism, and societal well-being.
