Sarah Kafatou
About the Author
Sarah Kafatou is a writer and artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, place, and the human spirit. Born in the United States to Greek immigrant parents, she has long been drawn to the Mediterranean's timeless landscapes, where she finds inspiration for her introspective narratives. Kafatou's debut book, Pomegranate Years: A Journal of Aging, Art, Love, and Loss on a Greek Island, chronicles her transformative experiences on a sun-drenched Aegean isle, weaving personal reflections on grief and renewal with vivid depictions of island life. A former academic and painter, she now divides her time between New England and Greece, continuing to capture the nuances of exile, belonging, and the passage of time in her evocative prose.
