About the Author
Lucius Annaeus Seneca, known simply as Seneca, was a prominent Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, and dramatist born around 4 BCE in Corduba, Hispania. As a tutor to the young Emperor Nero and later a powerful advisor, Seneca navigated the treacherous politics of imperial Rome while producing enduring works on ethics, morality, and the human condition. His philosophy emphasized resilience, virtue, and inner peace amid life's adversities, influencing countless thinkers from antiquity to the modern era. Despite his involvement in Nero's court, which led to his forced suicide in 65 CE, Seneca's writings remain a cornerstone of Western thought, offering timeless guidance on achieving tranquility and wisdom. Notable among his works is '论心灵之安宁(果麦经典) (Chinese Edition)', a profound exploration of maintaining serenity in a turbulent world.
