Office Of The Director Of National Intelligence
About the Author
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) serves as the principal advisor to the President, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council on intelligence matters related to national security. Established in 2004 under the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, the ODNI coordinates the activities of the 18 elements of the U.S. Intelligence Community to ensure timely and effective intelligence support to policymakers. Through its annual threat assessments, the ODNI provides comprehensive analyses of global risks, emerging threats, and strategic challenges facing the United States, drawing on expertise from agencies like the CIA, NSA, and FBI. These reports inform national security strategies and highlight key issues such as geopolitical tensions, cyber threats, and transnational dangers, fostering informed decision-making in an increasingly complex world.
