Noelle Kateri Brigden is an accomplished scholar and author whose work delves into the human dimensions of migration and border politics. With a PhD in political science from the University of California, San Diego, she has dedicated her career to examining the clandestine journeys undertaken by migrants navigating perilous routes from Central America to the United States. Drawing on extensive ethnographic research conducted in Honduras, Mexico, and beyond, Brigden illuminates the resilience, risks, and agency of those caught in the crosshairs of global migration policies. Her writing bridges academic rigor with compelling narratives, offering profound insights into the lived experiences of migrants and challenging conventional understandings of security and mobility in the Americas. Currently, she teaches at the University of New Brunswick, where she continues to explore themes of transnationalism and human rights.
