With a deep commitment to understanding faith in a postmodern world, Penner explores how believers can authentically engage with skepticism and relativism without resorting to outdated defensive strategies. His scholarship draws on extensive academic experience, including teaching roles at institutions like Trinity Western University, where he inspires students to rethink evangelism and witness. Penner's writing is both intellectually rigorous and pastorally sensitive, offering fresh perspectives that empower Christians to live out their convictions in diverse, pluralistic societies.
