Born in Al-Fid, Morocco, in 1890, he pursued advanced studies in Islamic sciences at the renowned Al-Azhar University in Cairo, where he immersed himself in Qur'anic exegesis, Hadith, and jurisprudence. Al-Hilali's scholarly journey took him across North Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, including a significant tenure in Saudi Arabia as a professor at the Islamic University of Madinah.
