Monique Rainford, MD, is a pioneering obstetrician-gynecologist and maternal-fetal medicine specialist with over two decades of experience advocating for equitable healthcare. As the first Black woman to graduate from Yale School of Medicine's residency program in obstetrics and gynecology, she has dedicated her career to addressing racial disparities in maternal health outcomes. Through her clinical practice at Yale New Haven Hospital and her research, Dr. Rainford highlights the systemic biases affecting Black pregnant women, pushing for policy reforms and culturally sensitive care.
