About the Author

Mike Carden is a seasoned adventurer and storyteller whose journeys on two wheels have taken him across the scenic byways of England, blending humor, introspection, and the occasional bout of man-flu into captivating narratives. A former corporate drone turned cycling enthusiast, Carden captures the essence of mid-life reinvention through his vivid accounts of pedaling adventures, where the thrill of the ride meets the realities of aging gracefully—or not. In his debut book, 'The Full English: Pedalling through England, Mid-Life Crisis and Truly Rampant Man-Flu (Bike Ride Books Book 1),' he chronicles a transformative bike tour that explores Britain's diverse landscapes while poking fun at personal vulnerabilities and triumphs. With a keen eye for detail and a witty voice, Carden's writing invites readers to lace up their metaphorical cycling shoes and join him on the open road, proving that it's never too late for a bit of pedal-powered escapism.
