About the Author

Michael Tucker is a celebrated actor, writer, and storyteller whose life took a delightful turn when he and his wife, actress Jill Eikenberry, relocated to the sun-drenched hills of Umbria, Italy, after decades in the spotlight of Hollywood. Best known for his role as district attorney Douglas Brackman on the iconic television series L.A. Law, Tucker traded courtroom dramas for the rhythms of Italian village life, immersing himself in the art of truffle hunting, winemaking, and savoring the simple joys of pasta al fresco. In his acclaimed memoir, Living in a Foreign Language: A Memoir of Food, Wine, and Love in Italy, he chronicles this transformative journey with humor and heart, exploring how the flavors and friendships of Italy reshaped his world. Tucker's writing captures the essence of reinvention, blending personal anecdotes with vivid cultural observations, inspiring readers to embrace the unexpected paths that lead to deeper fulfillment.
