Michael R. Lucey, MD, is a distinguished hepatologist and professor of medicine with over three decades of experience in liver disease management and transplantation. A graduate of University College Dublin School of Medicine, he completed his residency and fellowship at prestigious institutions including the University of Wisconsin and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Lucey has held leadership roles such as chief of hepatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and director of the liver transplant program at the University of Michigan. His clinical expertise and research contributions have advanced patient outcomes in complex liver conditions, earning him recognition from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
