Leah Savas is a historian and writer whose work illuminates the overlooked narratives of American social history. With a keen eye for the human stories behind major events, she draws on extensive archival research and personal accounts to bring depth to complex topics. Her debut book, The Story of Abortion in America: A Street-Level History, 1652–2022, traces the evolution of reproductive rights from colonial times to the present, highlighting the voices of ordinary people caught in the crosscurrents of law, culture, and morality. Savas holds a PhD in American History from the University of Chicago and has contributed articles to leading journals on gender and public policy.
