Kutter Callaway

About the Author

Kutter Callaway is a theologian, author, and cultural critic whose work bridges the worlds of faith, media, and contemporary society. With a PhD in theology and a background in film studies, he explores how popular culture shapes spiritual narratives and ethical discussions. Callaway's insightful analyses challenge readers to engage with theology not as an abstract discipline but as a vibrant dialogue with everyday life. His book, Watching TV Religiously: Television and Theology in Dialogue (Engaging Culture), exemplifies this approach, examining how television series reflect and influence religious themes. As a professor and speaker, Callaway inspires audiences to discern deeper meanings in the stories we consume, fostering a more reflective and theologically informed cultural literacy.
