Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche
About the Author
Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, a revered Tibetan Buddhist master of the Karma Kagyu lineage, was born in 1933 in Kham, Tibet, and recognized at a young age as the reincarnation of the renowned meditation master Beru Khyentse Rinpoche. He received extensive training under some of the greatest teachers of his time, including the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, mastering the profound teachings of Mahamudra and Dzogchen. Exiled from Tibet in 1959, he established numerous dharma centers worldwide, dedicating his life to preserving and transmitting authentic Buddhist wisdom. As abbot of Namo Buddha Monastery in Nepal and a prolific author, Thrangu Rinpoche's works, such as Medicine Buddha Teachings, offer accessible insights into healing practices, compassion, and the path to enlightenment, benefiting practitioners globally until his passing in 2023.
