Kami Leonard

About the Author

Kami Leonard is a captivating voice in contemporary poetry, drawing from the raw edges of adolescence and the electric pulse of 90s grunge culture. Born and raised in the shadow of rainy Pacific Northwest nights, her writing captures the turbulent beauty of teenage introspection, fueled by late-night coffee runs and an unyielding sense of angst. With a keen eye for the emotional undercurrents of youth, Leonard transforms personal musings into universal truths, blending vulnerability with vivid imagery that resonates deeply with readers navigating their own inner worlds. Her debut collection, Bleeding In Blue & Black Ink: A Collection of Musings from a Teenage Mind Fueled By 90s Grunge, Late Night Coffee Runs, and a Whole Lotta Angst, showcases her talent for weaving nostalgia and raw emotion into lyrical prose that lingers long after the page is turned.
