About the Author
John Marquane is a satirical novelist whose sharp wit and keen eye for political absurdity have made him a rising voice in contemporary literature. Drawing from his background in journalism and comedy writing, Marquane crafts narratives that blend humor with incisive social commentary, often targeting the quirks of modern American politics. His debut novel, The Candidate in the Rye: A Parody of The Catcher in the Rye starring Donald J. Trump, reimagines J.D. Salinger's classic through the lens of the 2016 presidential election, earning praise for its clever twists and timely relevance. With a penchant for parody, Marquane continues to explore the intersections of culture and power, delighting readers who appreciate fiction that punches above its weight.
