About the Author
Jennifer Teege is a German-Nigerian author whose life story is a profound exploration of identity, heritage, and the shadows of history. Born in Munich to a German mother and Nigerian father, she was adopted as an infant and raised in foster care, unaware of her biological roots until a chance discovery at age 38 led her to uncover a shocking family secret: her biological grandmother was Amon Göth, the notorious Nazi commandant of the Plaszow concentration camp immortalized in Schindler's List. This revelation prompted Teege to embark on a journey of self-discovery, blending personal memoir with historical reckoning. Her writing delves into the complexities of reconciliation, cultural duality, and the intergenerational impact of the Holocaust, offering readers a poignant lens on forgiveness and belonging in a divided world.
