About the Author

Ivan Lloyd is a poet and scholar whose work bridges the realms of history and lyricism, drawing inspiration from the lives of extraordinary figures who shaped cultural and spiritual landscapes. With a background in comparative literature, Lloyd crafts verses that resonate with emotional depth and intellectual rigor, often exploring themes of resilience, faith, and human aspiration. His debut collection, Tahirih: A Poetic Vision, reimagines the life of the 19th-century Persian poet and activist through a series of evocative poems that blend historical narrative with personal introspection. Lloyd's writing invites readers to reflect on the enduring power of the human spirit, making complex histories accessible and profoundly moving. Based in Vancouver, he continues to lecture on poetry's role in social change while developing his next project.
