Isma'Il R. Al-Faruqi (1921-1986) was a pioneering Palestinian-American philosopher, theologian, and scholar whose profound contributions to Islamic studies reshaped Western understandings of Islam. Born in Jaffa, he pursued advanced degrees in philosophy at universities in Jerusalem, Chicago, and Indiana, blending Eastern and Western intellectual traditions.
