Imam Jalaluddin As-Suyuti (1445–1505) was a prolific Egyptian polymath and one of the most influential Islamic scholars of the medieval era, renowned for his vast contributions to Islamic sciences, including Qur'anic exegesis, hadith, jurisprudence, and linguistics. Born in Cairo, he memorized the Qur'an at a young age and studied under numerous luminaries, eventually authoring over 600 works that span theology, history, and literature. As-Suyuti's scholarly rigor and encyclopedic knowledge earned him the title 'Shams al-Din,' and he served as a teacher at the prestigious Al-Azhar Mosque.
