Ilan Stavans is a renowned Mexican-American author, scholar, and cultural critic whose work bridges the vibrant worlds of Latin American literature and the multicultural tapestry of the United States. Born in Mexico City in 1961, he moved to the U.S. in the 1980s, where he has since become a leading voice on topics ranging from Spanglish and Jewish-Latino identity to the immigrant experience and global migration.
