Hilda Twongyeirwe is a Ugandan writer, editor, and feminist activist whose work amplifies the voices of African women navigating adversity with resilience and hope. Born and raised in Uganda, she has dedicated her career to storytelling that challenges societal norms and celebrates survival. As the founder of the FEMRITE Publications, Uganda's leading women's writing organization, Twongyeirwe has mentored countless emerging authors and edited anthologies that highlight diverse narratives from across the continent. Her own writing draws from personal and communal experiences, weaving themes of empowerment, identity, and cultural critique into compelling prose. Through her contributions to literature and advocacy, she continues to inspire a new generation of writers to claim their stories unapologetically.
