About the Author

Johnny Hart and Brant Parker, the dynamic duo behind the beloved comic strip Wizard of ID, have been delighting readers with their sharp wit and satirical takes on politics and everyday absurdities since the strip's debut in 1964. Hart, known for his earlier creation B.C., brought his knack for prehistoric humor to this medieval-themed series, while Parker contributed his illustrative flair and collaborative storytelling prowess. Together, they crafted a world of bumbling kings, scheming advisors, and pun-filled escapades that captured the essence of human folly. Their enduring partnership produced volumes of laughter, with collections like There's A Fly In My Swill; Wizard of ID #5 showcasing their timeless appeal. Even after Hart's passing in 2007, Parker's influence lives on through the strip's continued syndication, cementing their legacy in the annals of cartooning history.
