About the Author

Harsha Walia is a prominent activist, scholar, and writer whose work critically examines the intersections of migration, borders, and imperialism. Born in India and now based in Vancouver, Canada, she has dedicated her career to advocating for migrant justice and indigenous sovereignty, drawing from her experiences as an organizer with groups like No One Is Illegal. Walia's incisive analysis challenges the structures of state violence and capitalist exploitation, offering a radical vision for solidarity across borders. Her influential book, Undoing Border Imperialism (Anarchist Interventions Book 6), deconstructs the racial and economic underpinnings of border policies, inspiring global movements for decolonization and anti-oppression. Through her writing and activism, Walia continues to bridge theory and practice, fostering resistance against empire.
