Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru, was a profound spiritual leader and poet whose writings continue to inspire millions around the world. Born in 1563 in Goindval, Punjab, he ascended to Guruship in 1581 and is revered for compiling the Adi Granth, the foundational scripture of Sikhism that later became the Guru Granth Sahib. A visionary architect of faith, he founded the city of Amritsar and constructed the Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple, as a symbol of universal harmony. His literary contributions, particularly the Sukhmani Sahib, offer timeless guidance on devotion, inner peace, and righteous living, blending poetic elegance with deep philosophical insights. Martyrdom in 1606 under persecution only amplified his legacy as a beacon of resilience and spiritual enlightenment.
