Evangelical Lutheran Church In America

About the Author

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), established in 1988, represents a vibrant community of over 3.3 million Lutherans united in faith, service, and worship across the United States. As a denomination rooted in the Lutheran tradition, the ELCA emphasizes God's grace, the authority of Scripture, and a commitment to social justice, ecumenism, and global mission. Through its publishing arm, Augsburg Fortress, the ELCA produces resources that enrich spiritual life and congregational practice. Evangelical Lutheran Worship: Pew Edition stands as a cornerstone of this effort, offering a comprehensive hymnal and service book that guides worship with inclusive language, diverse music, and theological depth, fostering communal praise and reflection in contemporary settings.
