Emily Msall

About the Author

Emily Msall is a distinguished pediatrician and neurodevelopmental specialist with over three decades of experience in child health and developmental pediatrics. Holding an MD from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, she has dedicated her career to advancing the understanding and treatment of neurodevelopmental disabilities in infants and young children. As a professor at the University of Chicago, Msall has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and contributed significantly to clinical guidelines on early diagnosis and intervention. Her work emphasizes family-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and equitable access to services for vulnerable populations. Co-editor of the seminal text Capute & Accardo's Neurodevelopmental Disabilities in Infancy and Childhood: Neurodevelopmental Diagnosis and Treatment (Volume 1), she continues to influence the field through research, teaching, and advocacy for children with special needs.
