Alexander Pushkin, the renowned Russian poet, playwright, and novelist, is widely regarded as the founder of modern Russian literature, whose innovative use of vernacular language and profound exploration of human emotions revolutionized the literary landscape of the 19th century. Born in 1799 in Moscow to a noble family with African ancestry on his maternal side, Pushkin displayed prodigious talent from a young age, publishing his first poem at fifteen while studying at the Imperial Lyceum in Tsarskoye Selo.
