Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (1910-1991) was one of the foremost Tibetan Buddhist masters of the 20th century, renowned for his profound wisdom, scholarly depth, and compassionate guidance in preserving and transmitting the Dharma. Born in eastern Tibet, he studied under great teachers like Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and became a principal holder of the Nyingma lineage, serving as the Dzogchen teacher to the Dalai Lama and other leading figures. Exiled from Tibet in 1959, he spent decades in India and Bhutan, establishing monasteries and retreat centers while authoring numerous texts that elucidate the essence of Buddhist practice.
