Claudia Mosburger

About the Author

Claudia Mosburger is an author and literary scholar whose work examines how literature reflects and shapes ideas about gender, identity, and social expectations. Her writing combines close textual reading with cultural context, making complex literary questions accessible to readers interested in books, history, and representation. In Von braven und frechen Mädchen - Geschlechterkonstruktionen in den Mädchenbüchern des 20. Jahrhunderts im Vergleich (German Edition), she explores constructions of femininity in twentieth-century girls’ literature and considers how differing images of “good” and “rebellious” girls reveal changing cultural values. Her work invites thoughtful reflection on literature’s role in shaping young readers’ worlds.
