About the Author
Chokgyur Lingpa (1829–1870) was a renowned Tibetan tertön, or treasure revealer, whose visionary revelations have profoundly shaped Vajrayana Buddhism. Born in Nangchen, eastern Tibet, he was recognized early as an incarnation of Yeshe Tsogyal and collaborated closely with Jamgön Kongtrül and Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo to preserve ancient teachings amid turbulent times. Through his profound meditative insights, Chokgyur Lingpa unearthed hidden treasures—spiritual texts, practices, and empowerments—that emphasize the transformative power of devotion and wisdom. His works, including the celebrated 'The Tara Compendium: Feminine Principles Discovered,' illuminate the sacred feminine energies of Tara, offering practitioners pathways to enlightenment and compassion. Revered as one of the five primary tertöns of the nineteenth century, his legacy endures in the hearts of spiritual seekers worldwide, bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary practice.
