Chatsumarn Kabilsingh is a pioneering Thai scholar, Buddhist nun, and feminist thinker whose work has profoundly influenced the discourse on gender and religion in Southeast Asia. Born in Thailand, she pursued advanced studies in Buddhist philosophy and literature, earning a PhD from Magadh University in India. As a former professor of religion at Thammasat University, she has authored numerous books and articles that challenge patriarchal interpretations of Buddhist teachings and advocate for women's rights within religious traditions.
