As the first Muslim woman to play NCAA Division I basketball while wearing a hijab, she shattered barriers and inspired countless young people to pursue their dreams unapologetically. In her debut book, Lion on the Inside: How One Girl Changed Basketball (CitizenKid, 26), Abdul-Qaadir recounts her personal story of overcoming discrimination, faith-driven perseverance, and the fight for inclusion in sports. A former professional player in Australia and a coach, she now dedicates her life to empowering girls through sports and education, promoting diversity and self-belief in every arena.
