Ayse Devrim

About the Author

Ayse Devrim is a celebrated Turkish-American author and editor whose work bridges cultural narratives and speculative fiction, exploring themes of identity, migration, and otherness through a transgender lens. Born in Istanbul and raised in the vibrant diaspora communities of New York, she draws from her experiences as a queer immigrant to craft stories that challenge conventional boundaries of genre and perspective. Devrim's editorial vision has been instrumental in amplifying marginalized voices, fostering a literary space where transgender writers can thrive in science fiction and fantasy. With a background in comparative literature from Columbia University, she continues to advocate for inclusive storytelling, blending poetic prose with innovative world-building to envision futures that are as diverse as they are imaginative.
