About the Author

Arno Kersten is a distinguished historian and biographer whose work illuminates the shadowy intersections of wartime diplomacy and human conscience. Born in post-war Europe, Kersten's fascination with the moral complexities of the 20th century led him to meticulously chronicle the lives of figures who navigated the unimaginable. His seminal biography, Felix Kersten: Le Dernier Des Justes, explores the enigmatic Finnish osteopath who served as Heinrich Himmler's personal physician and leveraged his unique position to negotiate the release of thousands of Jews from Nazi concentration camps. Through exhaustive archival research and vivid narrative, Kersten portrays Kersten not merely as a healer but as a quiet architect of salvation, challenging simplistic notions of heroism and complicity.
