About the Author
Amit Chaudhuri is an acclaimed Indian author, musician, and scholar whose works elegantly bridge the worlds of literature and sound. Born in Kolkata and educated at Oxford, he draws from his deep immersion in both Western and Indian classical traditions to explore themes of memory, identity, and cultural hybridity. His writing often reflects the rhythms of everyday life in postcolonial India, infused with a poetic sensibility that captures the nuances of human experience. As a vocalist in the Hindustani tradition, Chaudhuri's literary voice resonates with musicality, making his narratives as lyrical as they are introspective. With a career spanning novels, essays, and performances, he continues to challenge conventional boundaries between art forms, earning international recognition for his innovative contributions to contemporary literature.
