Allasani Peddana, revered as Andhra Kavita Pitamaha, the Grandfather of Telugu Poetry, was a distinguished 16th-century poet and scholar in the court of the Vijayanagara Empire under King Krishnadevaraya. Born in Somandla village, he mastered the intricacies of Telugu literature, blending profound philosophical insights with vivid natural imagery drawn from his deep appreciation of the environment.
