About the Author

Alexander L. Fattal is an anthropologist and writer whose work bridges the intersections of politics, culture, and economics in Latin America. With a focus on Colombia's turbulent history, he examines how counterinsurgency strategies intertwine with capitalist enterprises, offering fresh insights into the human cost of conflict and commerce. His research draws from extensive fieldwork, blending rigorous scholarship with compelling narratives that illuminate the lives of those caught in the crosshairs of guerrilla warfare and global markets. Fattal's writing challenges conventional views on power and resistance, making complex socio-political dynamics accessible to a broad audience.
