Adina Blady Szwajger
About the Author
Adina Blady Szwajger was a Polish physician and memoirist whose life exemplified extraordinary courage amid the horrors of the Holocaust. Born in Łódź in 1917, she trained as a pediatrician and served at the Warsaw Ghetto's children's hospital, where she witnessed and resisted the Nazi occupation's atrocities. As a member of the Jewish resistance, Szwajger helped smuggle children to safety and cared for the sick under impossible conditions. After the war, she immigrated to Israel, continuing her medical practice while grappling with the trauma of loss. Her poignant memoir, I Remember Nothing More: The Warsaw Children's Hospital and the Jewish Resistance, offers a firsthand account of survival, defiance, and the human cost of genocide, preserving the voices of those silenced by history. Szwajger passed away in 2008, leaving a legacy of resilience and remembrance.
