The Ghost Army: Conning the Third Reich (Sirius Military History)
Chronicles the Allied deception unit that used visual and radio tricks to mislead German forces in Europe during World War II.
About This Book
The Ghost Army examines the specialized Allied unit tasked with deceiving German forces in Europe during the Second World War.
Through camouflage, dummy equipment, and simulated radio traffic, the unit created the impression of larger troop concentrations than actually existed.
The book draws on historical records to describe how these methods supported major operations without revealing operational specifics.
Authors Gerry Souter and Janet Souter present the material within the Sirius Military History series framework.
