About This Book
The Trojan War, New Edition presents the chronicles attributed to Dictys of Crete and Dares the Phrygian, two ancient sources that provide alternative perspectives on the famous conflict.
Dictys, a supposed eyewitness from Crete, and Dares, a priest from Troy, offer narratives that differ from the more poetic accounts in Greek mythology.
Edited by Richard M. Frazer, this edition makes these texts accessible to modern readers interested in classical history and literature.
The chronicles serve as important historical documents, influencing medieval interpretations of the Trojan legend.
